Switch Classroom Rebrand 2026: A Homecoming

If you’ve been with us for a while, you might have noticed some big changes to our site since last school year. Switch Classroom has rebranded! Although we have a fresh look, we want you to know that we still have the same mission we always have: to provide teachers with the resources to inspire a new, energy-focused generation of students through open and honest lessons. We realize some of these changes might be disorienting at first, and we’re here to help! Here’s a rundown of what you can expect from our rebrand:

What Changed

We’ve updated the fonts and basic formatting of our activities, taking care to keep our content engaging and easy to read for students. Our new logo and bright green color are designed to represent our values and goals as an organization. 

Green is the color of growth and potential and is exactly what we hope for all of our students, especially when teachers have the right resources.

The mark itself tells a story: arrows pointing in different directions, because real learning isn’t one-way. A wrench because Switch Classroom is a tool, made for students to pick up and use. A layered design, reflecting the way understanding builds on itself one concept at a time. 

If you’ve been with us since the beginning, you might remember that our logo used to be green. For us, this rebrand represents a homecoming, allowing us to celebrate our growth and progress while still remaining true to our mission: to inspire an energy-educated future.

What Stayed the Same

We are still the same organization. We continue to provide teachers with free, comprehensive lessons on a wide range of energy-based topics. Our content remains the same and is fully available on our website. Through our resources, we hope to achieve energy and environmental literacy for every young student, creating a new generation of thoughtful, informed decision-makers.

One big note for teachers: Alignment Guides for each subject are now called Quick-Start Guides. We made this change to better represent what these guides are: starting points for quickly connecting our resources to your curriculum. The content is the same, just with a different name. All lessons can still be found in the same place.
