As part of the Switch Classroom lesson “What Is Nuclear?”, we are thrilled to feature an exclusive interview with Grace titled, “Nuclear Around Us”. In this conversation, students will have the opportunity to learn about energy density and how nuclear energy is used all around us. From its mechanisms to its advantages and complexities, Grace provides invaluable insights that will spark curiosity and engagement among students.

Grace Stanke: A Multifaceted Role Model

Grace Stanke’s achievements speak volumes about her dedication and passion for both nuclear energy and education. Crowned as Miss. America 2023, she is currently a nuclear engineering student at UW-Madison. Additionally, Grace leads a social impact initiative called, “Clean energy, cleaner future,” which is about, “breaking down misconceptions about the energy industry.” Her commitment to STEM education makes her an inspiring role model for students everywhere.

Nuclear Lessons for Everyone
