Switch Classroom will present at STAO 2026: STEAM Driven, the Science Teachers’ Association of Ontario’s annual conference, held at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel & Suites in Richmond Hill, Ontario, November 12–13.

Switch Classroom will present two sessions:

• Fuel for Thought: Teaching Energy Tradeoffs and Transformations
  Strand 1: Why? Curiosity and Brave Questions
  Dive into two engaging energy activities: compare energy sources through media and discussion, then model energy transformations across systems. Explore real-world trade-offs and leave with free, classroom-ready lessons for grades 4–12.

• Catch the Breeze! Build & Test Windmills With Recycled Materials
  Strand 4: How? Applied STEAM and Skilled Trades/Careers
  Roll up your sleeves to design, build, and test mini wind turbines using everyday materials. Explore how wind becomes power, analyze performance, and refine designs. Leave with a ready-to-use engineering challenge for your classroom.

Both sessions leave participants with free classroom-ready resources. Sessions are open to registered STAO 2026 attendees.
