Switch Classroom will present at the Soar into STEM Conference, hosted by UNCW’s Watson College of Education in Wilmington, North Carolina. The one-day PK–12 STEM education conference brings educators together for hands-on professional development and networking on Thursday, June 11.

Switch Classroom will present one conference session:

• Zap! Squish! Light It Up! Play-Doh Circuits for Grades 4–12 Presented by Ben Schosek (New Hanover County Schools) | Room 232

Using colorful Play-Doh, LEDs, and batteries, participants will explore Switch Classroom’s Intro to Electricity lesson and bring foundational circuit concepts to life, investigating conductivity, resistance, open and closed circuits, and series versus parallel designs. This adaptable lab works for elementary through high school classrooms.

Conference sessions are open to registered Soar into STEM attendees.
