Science of Oil – Data Set

Summary

This oil production data analysis activity challenges high school students to interpret a line graph and data table on oil production from 2000 to 2023. Students will analyze trends in top-producing countries and answer questions that require them to consider the technological, economic, and political factors that might influence production. The activity fosters critical thinking about the global landscape of energy.
