Summary

This nuclear computation activity challenges high school students to use real-world data and concepts to solve quantitative problems. Students will calculate the amount of fuel (coal vs. uranium) needed to power a household, analyze the half-life of radioactive isotopes, and compute the percentage difference in energy density between fuels.
