Science of Hydropower – Data Set

Summary

This hydropower data analysis activity challenges high school students to interpret a line graph and data table on the share of primary energy consumption from hydroelectric power. Students will analyze historical trends from 1985 to 2023, identify countries with increasing or decreasing shares, and hypothesize about the factors that explain why countries like Norway rely so heavily on hydropower.
