Science of Geothermal – Data Set

Summary

Students analyze a table of installed geothermal capacity across 13 countries from 2000 to 2024, then answer five interpretation questions about national trends, policy priorities, and emerging leaders in geothermal development. The activity builds data literacy alongside energy content knowledge. Works for middle school or high school earth science, APES, or any unit connecting energy data to real-world decision-making.
