Introduction to the Electric Grid – Data Set

Summary

This electric grid data analysis worksheet builds data literacy using two global tables: total electricity generation by region and electricity distribution losses. Students identify trends over time, compare regions, calculate percent losses, and explain why some regions lose more electricity during delivery.

This data set is part of the full Electric Grid lesson plan and prepares students for designing their own grid model.
