APES Objectives – Unit 3

Summary

The Unit 3 “What Do I Need to Know?” handout covers all 9 learning objectives for the Populations unit of AP Environmental Science, including K- and r-selected species, survivorship curves, carrying capacity, age structure diagrams, total fertility rate, human population dynamics, and demographic transition. Students track their confidence across each objective using the built-in “I Know” column. Aligned to the CED with an AP Exam weighting of 10–15%, this is one of the higher-weighted units on the exam and a strong candidate for pre-test review use.
