APES Objectives – Unit 0

Summary

The Unit 0 “What Do I Need to Know?” handout introduces students to the seven AP Environmental Science Science Practices, the four Big Ideas, and all required environmental legislation before course content begins. Students use the self-tracking “I Know” column to monitor their own understanding throughout the unit. Works as a course orientation tool and a recurring reference for science practice alignment across all nine APES units.
